Chaperone Policy
At Bower Mount Medical Practice, we are dedicated to providing a safe, respectful, and comfortable environment for all our patients.
During your visit, there may be occasions when a doctor or nurse needs to conduct a physical or intimate examination. Trust, dignity, and mutual respect are essential to your care, and we want you to feel fully supported at all times.
Requesting a Chaperone
- You have the right to request a chaperone to be present during any consultation, clinical test, or examination.
- You can request a chaperone when booking your appointment with reception, or at any point during your consultation.
- All chaperones provided by the practice are fully trained members of staff who maintain strict professional standards and patient confidentiality.
Arranging Your Examination
We will always make every effort to provide a chaperone immediately upon request. If a trained staff member is unavailable at that exact time, we may offer to reschedule your examination for a mutually convenient time.
Please never hesitate to ask for a chaperone if it helps you feel more at ease during your visit.
