How we are working to help you

Bower Mount Medical Practice is pleased to confirm that we have recruited new GPs to the practice. This means you may start seeing new GPs when you are offered an appointment.

Demand for GP services is high across the county but we are working to continue to provide high-quality care. We have introduced a number of changes in the past year to help better manage demand, including a new telephone call back system so patients don’t have to wait on the phone too long.

Our appointment system has also changed as we have many different skilled staff providing care, such as a physiotherapist, pharmacist, and care co-ordinators.

To help make sure you see the right person for your condition, we use a care navigation system, carried out by GP assistants, supported by GPs.

This is why patients are asked to provide as much information as possible about their problem to direct them to appropriate healthcare professionals or provide advice over the phone. GP assistants do not sit in the reception and your discussion is confidential.

We are always keen to listen to patients and take your feedback on board. Our patient participation group meet regularly to discuss possible ways to continue to improve and we liaise with this group regularly.

We assure you that we are working to provide the best possible care to all our patients.  Your kind cooperation and support is greatly appreciated.
